Dexter Espinoza
Lead Vocals
California native Dexter Espinoza began honing his skills in the nightclubs of Orange County, performing five sets a night, five nights a week before moving on to write and perform original music on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood. After signing a recording contract, he began a decades-long working relationship with six-time Grammy winner Bobby Kimball of Toto, and later worked with two-time Grammy winner Bill Champlin of Chicago.
Over the course of his career, Dexter has toured extensively around the world with major acts and continues to perform with Icons of Classic Rock, featuring former members of Boston, Quiet Riot, Survivor, and others. With Still They Ride, Dexter brings seasoned professionalism, commanding vocals, and the kind of frontman presence this music demands.
Pat Casey
Lead Guitar & Vocals
Pat grew up in Syracuse, New York, and started playing guitar at 13, teaching professionally by 18. After earning a B.A. in Music from Oswego State University, he spent years teaching and performing in upstate New York before moving to Colorado in 1995, where he continued his teaching career and established himself as a respected guitarist in the Denver music scene.
Over the years, Pat has shared the stage as an opening act for artists including REO Speedwagon, Pat Benatar, Hall & Oates, Starship, The Tubes, The Guess Who, Stevie Nicks, Ronnie James Dio, Rascal Flatts, Montgomery Gentry, and The Warren Brothers. In 2005, he joined a U.S. tour with The Boys From Beatlemania, stepping into the role of “Paul,” and later formed his own Denver-based Beatles tribute, The Fables.
Influenced by players such as Rik Emmett, Randy Rhoads, Steve Lukather, and Neal Schon, Pat co-founded Still They Ride with bassist Phil Low in 2019, driven by a shared love of Journey’s music and musicianship.
Chris Fischer
Keyboards, Guitar & Vocals
Chris Fischer has been playing piano and keyboards since childhood, but it was Journey—especially Gregg Rolie and Jonathan Cain—that first inspired him to become a serious keyboard player. That early spark led him beyond piano lessons and into synthesizers, Hammond organ, and live performance.
After earning a degree in music from the University of Colorado, Chris built a long career as a professional performer and bandleader. In the late 1990s, he performed in a Colorado-based touring band with legendary Chicago founding drummer Danny Seraphine, an experience that helped shape his approach to playing at a high professional level. He later founded Funkiphino, the 11-piece horn band he has led for more than 27 years.
Playing with Still They Ride brings Chris full circle, returning to the music and keyboard influences that started it all.
Phil Low
Bass Guitar & Vocals
Phil started playing guitar at age nine and later taught himself piano, keyboards, and bass, becoming a versatile multi-instrumentalist along the way. After years of performing in Minnesota and Colorado, and sharing the stage with notable Denver acts including Blacklight Project, Park Side, and Rick Lewis & The Groove Hawgs, he went on to help build Noisy Neighbor, a band that spent a decade performing at major events such as Bandimere Speedway’s Mile High Nationals and Buffalo Bill Days.
As a founding member of Still They Ride, Phil brings seasoned musicianship, strong rock instincts, signature stage presence, and famously great hair to the band’s tribute to Journey.
Rich Rychel
Drums
Rich Rychel is a seasoned drummer, educator, and author with a career spanning national stages, major cruise lines, and respected academic settings. A graduate of Northern Illinois University with a degree in jazz and percussion, he has been a fixture in the Denver music scene since 1996.
Known for his technical precision, versatility, and ability to master material quickly, Rich has earned respect throughout the percussion community, including service on the Modern Drummer Magazine Reader Advisory Board and endorsements from Vic Firth, Sabian, Latin Percussion, and Snareweight. With Still They Ride, he brings experience, musical depth, and a powerful rhythmic foundation to the band.
